Decadent Salted Pretzel Brownies

Salted Pretzel Brownie

These brownies are rich and decedent. The sweet/salty combination makes them perfect.

This delicious brownie recipe is an easy and indulgent treat that is sure to please. The rich, fudgy texture is complemented perfectly by the crispy salty pretzels scattered throughout.

The brownies have a deep, chocolatey flavor that pairs well with a glass of cold milk or a scoop of your favorite ice cream. The addition of instant espresso powder adds a nice depth of flavor. If instant espresso powder is not available at your local grocer, it can be ordered from Amazon.

Additionally, these brownies are incredibly easy to make and only require a few simple pantry staples. You'll be amazed at how quickly these delicious treats come together and you will find yourself making them again and again. Enjoy!

Description

Simply the best and easiest brownie recipe I have ever come up with, dark chocolate, sugar, flour, crushed salty pretzels and few more pantry staples is all you need.

Ingredients
  • 8 oz butter, diced
  • 6 oz dark chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1.5 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp instant espresso powder
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup mini pretzels, divided
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with a piece of parchment paper.

  2. Salted Pretzel Brownie

Add butter and chocolate to a medium saucepan and melt over low heat.

Stir in the cocoa powder and whisk to dissolve the cocoa in the warm mixture.

  4. Salted Pretzel Brownie

Remove from heat and stir in the sugar and vanilla.

  5. Salted Pretzel Brownie

Add the eggs, one at a time, whisking constantly between each addition

  6. Salted Pretzel Brownie

Fold in the flour, instant espresso powder, and dark chocolate chips.

  7. Salted Pretzel Brownie

Lightly crush half of the pretzels and fold those into the brownie batter.

  8. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan.

  9. Arrange the remaining pretzels on top of the brownie batter.

  10. Bake until brownies are mostly set, yet slightly gooey in the middle, 40-45 minutes.

  11. Start checking doneness at 35 minutes with a toothpick – it should come out clean with moist crumbs and not completely dry.

  12. Salted Pretzel Brownie

Allow the brownies to cool completely before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
