Summer is almost here so let’s make some delicious smoothie with special summer fruits. This recipe is simple and the flavors of mango with passion fruit complement each other too well plus it’s natural texture is creamy ans smooth.
The star of this recipe is Passion fruit, not a common fruit but if you are someone who haven’t tried it before please do. It has a unique texture to the fruit, inside a hard shell there are huge seeds soaked a sticky water like liquid. It has a wonderful sweet a bit tart flavor.
Mango and Passion Fruit Smoothie…
Check out the recipe card below for exact measurements according to your preferred serving size.
What you will need…
- Mango: Ripe mangoes is key here, they need to be on the sweeter side to make this smoothie tastier. Feel free to use fresh or frozen.
- Passion Fruit: This particular fruit is a summer fruit and works very well in smoothies. Get yourself passion fruit pulp, remember to purchase sugar free.
- Lime juice: Adds a slight hint of sourness which elevates the overall flavor profile.
- Water: I prefer water in my smoothies instead of dairy, in this particular smoothie I recommend to use water.
- Maple syrup: To keep it sugar free I am going to sweeten the smoothie maple syrup, you may use honey, or even 1 T sugar in case you have no issues with sugar.
What you need to do…
- Just like any other smoothie recipe, pour in all ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth. Serve immediately.
Variations:
Some other fruits can also be added to the smoothie like pineapple, orange juice.
Storgae:
This smoothie will hold well for 2 days in fridge. It will lose their thick, frosty texture in storage, which can be fixed by blending in a handful of ice before serving!
